Discover the spiritual and cultural heart of Bali on this private highland journey. Begin at Pura Kehen, one of Bali's most beautiful and historic temples in Bangli, then wander Penglipuran, one of the island's cleanest and prettiest traditional villages, where bamboo-lined lanes and immaculate family compounds offer a rare glimpse of authentic Balinese life. From there you climb into the cool highlands of Kintamani for a lunch overlooking the Mount Batur volcano and its crater lake.

Enjoy a relaxed lunch with sweeping views over the Mount Batur volcano and its crater lake in Kintamani, then finish with a tasting of freshly roasted Balinese coffees and teas at a traditional plantation on the way home. Penglipuran Village

Wander the immaculate bamboo-lined lanes of Penglipuran, one of Bali's prettiest and best-kept traditional villages, and step into a classic family compound to see authentic island life.

Important Information

What to Bring

Comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, camera. A sarong is provided for the temple.

Fitness Level

Easy. Gentle, comfortable walking at each stop, at your own pace, with no long or steep temple, taken at your own pace.

Age Requirement

All ages welcome. Note the uphill temple walk for very young or less mobile guests; we happily adapt the pace.
